They are allowed to make corrections to the report. It sounds like you need a good layer although you never told us what you are charged with. A good lawyer will ask in court why were these changes made on the police report. Your lawyer will point out mistakes on the report and changes that were made in order to cast doubt on the validity of the whole thing.
